New Chapters!
Like any artist; I've always been one. Or maybe I should say, like most artists. I drew on walls, windows, myself, my siblings..anything that might take ink. My signature was usually a side view portrait of a face done almost completely in one satisfying stroke, a prancing horse, or a myriad of daisy links..swirly ques were a favorite mark. We lived in a somewhat humid climate on Vancouver Island and to my delight our large kitchen windows were often fogged up. A perfect canvas for my fingers. My chore was usually to windex the windows once the fog cleared up. Fast forward many years and I am falling back to this wonderful comfort zone just to see what happens. I love to draw. I love to paint. I love children's books. And maybe most importantly, I love to learn. It seems that becoming an illustrator of children's books might be a natural progression. I've been taking several small courses online..most notably, from the site SVSLearn . They are really a wealth of info...
